PAUL'S PASSIONS

As a cyclist, Paul rides throughout the year, commuting most days and in leisure time riding both on- and off-road in the Denver area. As a tourist he has ridden unsupported from the Mississippi to the Pacific, and continues to enjoy occasional bike-camping trips in Colorado. He is an incurable bicycle collector and is rarely seen two days in a row on the same bike, alternating between three racing bikes, two fixed gears, two touring bikes, a cyclocross bike, a full suspension, a hardtail, a hardnose, a single-speed, a Moulton, a Raleigh 3-speed, and a French mongrel (among others).

Previously, Paul was a professional musician and university instructor, and has received the Master of Music degree and completed coursework for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree. He is active in the local musical community and is a trombonist with Littleton Symphony Orchestra and Park Hill Brass Quintet. Paul and his wife Jeannette have two children – John and Erin. They are residents of Englewood, Colorado.

The Shop

Paul’s Cyclery was founded in 2002 as a bicycle store and full-service repair facility in the city of Littleton, Colorado. It is focused on offering the adult enthusiast a selection of products previously unavailable in the area, especially, but not limited to, high-quality road bicycles, and a program of personal fitting and custom bicycle design for the most discriminating cyclist.

Paul’s Cyclery presents new bicycles by Masi, Waterford, Calfee, Bianchi USA, and Desalvo Custom Cycles. We also recommend Continental tires, Lake shoes, Louis Garneau helmets, Mavic wheels and rims, Brooks and Selle Royal saddles, and accessories by Cateye, Topeak, Planet Bike, Inertia, MasterLock, and others.

The THEORY

You may have noticed, we especially like road bikes. Everyone should have at least one. Road bikes are comfortable. Road bikes are quick. Road bikes are fun and practical. A road bike can be ridden just about everywhere and, when properly selected and outfitted, will roll past other bicycle types in just about any use, except of course a mountain bike on severe terrain
(we do have some nice mountain bikes, too).

But,
don’t think that a road bike is a road bike is a road bike.
There are road bikes for touring, commuting, racing, comfort, sporting and fitness, street or track, we have road bikes with flat handlebars, why we even have road bikes for riding off-road.

And,
because our bicycles are fitted and meticulously assembled by experienced hands, you’ll get what you want. Comfort. Balance. Speed. Handling. Reliability.
You can have it all at once on a new bicycle from Paul’s.

Or,
you might take advantage of our well-equipped shop to tune, repair, or refit any bicycle which you presently own.
